A quick update
Made it through my first week of class. \o/ It's going to be a long and hard semester, especially since I'm taking modeling algebra and chemistry. So far my favorite class has been my Intro to Prof. Nursing class. The teacher is really nice and the class is interesting. Overall I'm just exhausted.
After spending many hours on the phone with financial aid, I managed to get everything pretty much straightened out. I say pretty much because they screwed up my direct unsubsidized loan and didn't give me the full amount at first and I had to actually go into the financial aid office and talk to them before they got it figured out. Now the credits show up on my account, but who knows when the money will actually get disbursed. Are all colleges as awful as this when it comes to financial aid or is it just KSU?
I was supposed to be moving into the new house this weekend but it doesn't look like that is going to happen. Like I said above, I'm still waiting on about 2000$ of my financial aid refund to come because that's basically what I am going to use to buy furniture + pay first month's rent. Pretty much everything except necessities are packed and it sucks that we're not able to move until probably next week or the week after. I'm a nervous wreck about the whole thing. I want to move so badly and I'm afraid my mom's friend is going to think that we're backing out then give the place to someone else. (I know logically this is not going to happen but it's what keeps running through my mind and driving my anxiety through the roof. :/)
My mom quit her job so I've been struggling to find something because we need money to pay bills when we move. I applied at Subway down the road from my house and then I applied at the McDonald's, Arby's, and Burger King that's across from my campus. I'm going to look into some student jobs on campus because truthfully it would work out better for me if I could get a job there and work on the days I have class, that way I won't have to constantly try to find a ride.
I feel like I'm just barely holding everything together tbh. So much is being thrown at me at once and I'm still not sure I am going to be able to handle everything.
It's so freaking hot outside right now. I seriously cannot wait for the cold front to move through and cool things off.
