How the actual fuck is it June already??????

I've come to realize that summer is both my favorite and least favorite time of the year. I feel like at the start of the year I look forward to it, to getting a break. But once it's here I want it to be over with. I guess I hate the idleness of it.

Ended up with As in all my classes (well A- in World Geography). I was actually really surprised that I ended up with an A in my Earth History class because I thought for sure I was going to end up with a low B. I calculated my grade from the points my teacher posted on Blackboard and I definitely had a low B, but she still gave me an A so idk. I can't feel proud of it because I don't feel like I earned it. But whatever I guess.

Speaking of college stuff, I'm thinking of changing my major. It's not that I don't like Poli Sci or think it's a worthwhile major or anything like that. I think knowing and understanding about politics (both national and international) is really important. It's important to be informed. However, I'm kind of opening my eyes to the reality of a liberal arts degree. There's not much I can do with a bachelor's degree in political science. I'd have to definitely get a master's or higher if I wanted to be able to get a decent paying job. And truthfully, I refuse to be that student with a 4-year degree working at McDonald's. I won't fucking do it. So I'm thinking of switching to a nursing major. Actually I'd like to go up to a master's degree so I can work as a nurse practitioner. And I figure getting a BSN is better than a degree in poli sci because with a BSN, I can work as an RN while going to grad school. Of course this is all assuming I actually get into the nursing program. I have to talk to my academic advisor about it, but he's not in until summer semester starts so I have to wait. I might actually skip talking to him and just talk to someone from the College of Nursing. But yeah, this is something I've been thinking long and hard about it and I think I'm going to go for it. Fingers crossed I can get accepted into the program!

The other day I cleaned out my music collection. I deleted a shit ton of music that I don't listen to anymore. Then of course I asked for music recs and ended up downloading a ton of music (and I'm not even done yet). Out of everything people recommended, I've gotten into Rurutia the most. Seriously it was love at first listen. I like the softness and peacefulness of her music. If you're ever looking for new music to check out, I recommend her x10! Salyu is another singer I've really gotten into. Also Waa Wei--her voice is beautiful. It kind of reminds me of Regina Spektor's voice at times. There are others too; I have a huge list lol. But yeah, those are the three I've really gotten into at the moment. If anyone wants to, feel free to comment with any music recs~!

I think that's it for now. It's 1:30am and I need to watch Six Feet Under because I haven't for a few days and I'm having withdrawals.
